Philip W Patton was born in Atlanta, Georgia on April 2nd, 1986.

Philip received his Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2009.  Philip studied Photography with an emphasis Fashion and Retail. Along side his Photography degree he also studied Painting in which he received a minors degree.  

Following graduation from SCAD, Philip moved to New York City where began working for Marc Jacobs as a Merchandiser and Window Display Designer. After years of designing and installing windows Philip was asked to join the Marc Jacobs web team as The House Photographer/ Graphic Designer.  In this role Philip worked a UX Designer and Photographed seasonal catalogs for eCommerce maintaining Marc Jacobs and Co Founder Robert Duffy's visions for Marcjacobs.com. Philip also a team of full time and freelance photographers and retouchers. Shot backstage for fashion shows.

In 2013 Philip was asked to shoot the 2014 Marc Jacobs Collection Look Book featured on Voguerunway.com. Images were later published in The New York Times and Womans Wear Daily. Philip continued to shoot Look Books for Marc Jacobs Collection and his diffusion line Marc by Marc Jacobs. These cookbooks proved Philip to be a useful tool for the brand and lead Patton to work directly with Marc Jacobs himself for pre show styling. 

In 2016 Philip left his full time role at Marc Jacobs to pursue freelance opportunities. Working for brands like Hermes, Diane Von Furstenberg, Bode, Atelje 71, Sachin & Babi, Whit NYC, Loup NYC and Paige Denim. 

Philip is currently working bicoastal while residing in Los Angeles, CA.
